Urinary crystals have various causes, and Royal Canin Urinary U/C Low Purine is designed for dogs age 1+ to address metabolic disorders causing urinary stones. The recipe features proteins with low purine content, preventing cysteine stone build-up. The food also reduces skin fluid loss with high biotine content, niacin, pantothenic acid, zinc, and linoleic acid. A synergistic antioxidant complex protects cells against harmful metabolites.

Recommended for (indications):

Leishmaniasis therapy with xanthine oxidase inhibitors (e.g., allopurinol)
Maintenance of good health in adult dogs predisposed to metabolic-related urinary stones
Prevention of relapse of metabolism-related urinary stones (urate, xanthine, cystine)

Not recommended for (contraindications):

Parallel treatment with drugs increasing urine acidity
Lactating bitches, pregnant bitches, or puppies

Duration of Treatment:Urate stones: min. 6 months. For permanent metabolic disorders, feed for the dog’s lifespan. Cystine urinary stones: feed for up to one year. Ensure your dog receives regular therapy reviews to revise feeding guidelines.

Ingredients: Rice, corn flour, wheat flour, animal fat, egg powder, wheat gluten*, minerals, corn gluten, vegetable fibers, fish oil, soybean oil, fructo-oligosaccharides, borage oil, marigold flour.
